David, Having checked those packet logs again, I did notice one difference. The requested URI for Oneiric appears to be "ipp://druckerraum- laser1.ethz.ch:631/" and not "ipp://druckerraum- laser1.ethz.ch:631/ipp/". Could you quickly check that it is set the same as in Natty please?
