the card that I am using is a apg/vga 3d video card. Vessa is a generic driver with limited functions.. Its like running in safe mode. You have less adjustment and lower resolution. Xorg is showing it as a vesa driver. which is ok if you dont mind fuzzy and distorted pictures. I have used ubuntu since 2004, and it has always installed as a vga driver. I am duel booting with ubuntu 11,04 and it is installed as a vga driver. The graphics are fine on it. 11.10 installs it as vesa and the graphic are screwed up. I dont care about 3d because I cant see 3d. Both are the same to me. It takes two eyes to see 3d and I only have one. I just want to be able to see the screen clearly. I tried the new suse with gnome3 and it worked right as far as graphics were cocerned. Dont like suse and want to stay with ubuntu. thanks
