When I speak of the console, I don't mean the xterm or konsole or 
gnome-terminal X application, neither about the recovery mode, but the 
tty terminal consoles avaible through ctrl+alt+F# keys.

Try hitting ctrl+alt+F1, it will send you to a console, where I never 
seen the keyboard bug.  ctrl+alt+F7 will bring you back to your X 
sessionnnnnnnnn.  There is 6 terminals (F1 to F6 + ctrl+alt) and 1 X 
session (F7).
