Just for the record: I see this problem on two different machines (a
desktop and a laptop): both machines shut down just fine before the
upgrade to oozing ocelot. Since the upgrade, the shutdown hangs. In
the hung state, the Ubuntu logo is visible, underneath there are three
red dots and two white dots, and the machine doesn't react to key
presses (e.g. switching virtual consoles seems not to work).
