Public bug reported: The Put Left and Put Right commands (Ctrl-Alt-KP4, Ctrl-Alt-KP5) used to move the window to the side, and with consecutive keypresses toogle between different grid sizes. This behavior has stopped since the latest update, and now the window only snaps to half the screen. All the other side commands (Put Top Left, Put Bottom Right, etc...) worked as before, toggling between 3 different grid sizes. The fix for bug #862260 was supposed to correct this behavior, but it doesn't. This looks like a regression bug. Bug #876591 shows a related issue, but the patch provided does not fix the Put Left and Put Right problem. compiz 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu5 compiz-core 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu5 compiz-plugins-default 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu5 compiz-plugins-main 1:0.9.6-0ubuntu4 compiz-plugins-main-default 1:0.9.6-0ubuntu4 ** Affects: compiz-grid-plugin Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 878516 Regression: snap to screen edges to view two windows side by side doesn't restore window size correctly ** Also affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/886373 Title: Put Left and Put Right do not toggle between different grid sizes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz-grid-plugin/+bug/886373/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
