I've got the same behaviour on a HP Compaq nc6400 with its iwl3945 wifi. It is not solved by the kernel 3.1.0 rc10 (installed by the debian package in http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ )
I notice that I can reenable the wifi adapter just by restarting the network-manager service (sudo service network-manager restart) ** Attachment added: "Syslog and kern.log for a switch off switch on" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/881108/+attachment/2585537/+files/WifiSyslog -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/881108 Title: [Latitude E4310] Wifi slider does not reenable wifi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/881108/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
