I'm afraid it might be a BIOS bug. See the links pasted. Users there say to have the same problem under windows 7 as well. It also appears to me that only the x121e's with AMD E350 processors are affected by this bug. My model is x121e 3051-5QG.
The above is for the Fn key bug. The touchpad issue must be a separate one.
