Interesting thing is there are many other bug reports about the same issue, e.g. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+bug/380533. And almost all of them are in fix released status.
I was trying to sync my encrypted .Private folder. I tried to umount ecryptfs first (ecryptfs-umount-private) then synchronize it. It seems like the daemon's memory usage is stabilized at ~500MiB and it is actually uploading. It uploaded 36 MiB until now using the same amount of memory. Maybe it is a inotify issue. Because I know that there is some issues about ecryptfs and inotify. @Slugius you are right about the bug name. Are you also using eryptfs? Can you confirm the behavior I observed? Maybe we can open a more precise bug report after confirmation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/778757 Title: ubuntuone-syncdaemon gobbles memory and hangs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+bug/778757/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
