Public bug reported: /boot installed to /dev/sdb1, /usr installed to /dev/sda1. Installer attempted to install grub on /dev/sda
Release: Oneiric Live Disk Expected grub to be installed where /boot is. Instead installer attempted to install grub on wrong device and failed with a "fatal error". Simple way to workaround (which I will try now) is to but /boot on /dev/sda1. But the installer (ubiquity) should know better :P BTW it's an awesome program.
