I agree with bug reporter at present there is no good way to manage any open window.
It takes xtra steps to close one window when multiple windows are open. Consider this: 1) I have 3 nautilus windows open. 2) I need to close one of the windows. 3) I click on nautilus icon in launher. 4) A spead view of three windows is shown. Now from here at least I should be able to close whichever window I like with one click. But wait Unity makes me take another step. 5) select the window which u need to close 6) Go all the way upto top left corner to close that window. It makes me move cursor all around the screen to get one simple work done. I dont think there should be any problem on adding a feature which enhances usablility of unity overall. A community based solution may look like a hack with many (?) regressions so it's good if it's baked into a product. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783498 Title: add per-window ("window-centric") window management to Unity (launcher and/or compiz) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/783498/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
