Thanks for the bug report. We, the upstream developers of DMTCP, are
aware that DMTCP does not yet support SUN's JVM for Java.  The issue has
to do with how Sun dynamically loads dynamic libraries.  We intend to
fix this in the future.  Because most of our users aren't using Java, we
haven't made this a priority up to now.  If you have an important
checkpointing application with DMTCP, please tell us, and we'd be happy
to raise the priority.

Would it be possible to use a different Java implementation (not derived from 
SUN/Oracle) in the meantime?
