I edited the /etc/default/grub, turned off the splash and quiet flags, and also turned off graphical console.
I got a hang today. It had dumped me into busybox. There was something about a raid being degraded, but it was not clear what it was talking about since it scrolled off too fast to read, and there was no way to scroll back once I was dumped into busybox. I do have a raid in my system, but all tests I've run on it claim it is working properly, and is not degraded. It is a two drive mirror for my home directory and neither drive in the mirror reports any problems in SMART. Also the Disk Utility "Check Array" tool found no problems with the array. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/880130 Title: Computer locks up just after grub about 10% of boots To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/880130/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
