I was also affected by this bug. I tried to remove some HOME config/hidden files and it works again. In my case I came from a Natty version upgrade, so maybe some files where buggy for Software Center. The files/dirs I moved from my home folder are: - .cache/ - .compiz-1 - .gconf/ - .gconfd/ - gnome2/ - .gnome2_private/ - .gksu.lock
I haven't done yet further analysis to know wich is the guilty one, but it works again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/873160 Title: Software Center SEGFAULTS when attempting to start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/873160/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
