Depressing the power button (only tried while logged in) or selecting shutdown from the menu will produce a dialog which will default to shutdown after a minute. Although this power down option works correctly, 5 to 7 seven seconds seems like a long time while awaiting a forced shutdown and a minute seems like forever. Can the default time until shutdown be reduced?
Hibernation appears to happen following a hibernation menu request (did not try an automatic one). Recovery from hibernation fails miserably with a splotched black and white pattern. Recovery from this disaster requires not one but two powerdowns and restarts. The first restart produces a yucky theme. Is it possible that an Nvidia driver is required to be able to sucessfully hibernate/restore since I am using a pCie Nvidia graphics card? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/562748 Title: Suspend rather than Hibernate is the Default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/562748/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
