Yes, I just switched my gtk theme to Clearlooks and Banshee is now starting just fine.
Just for anyone else with this bug: the 'theme' being refereed to here is not the KDE theme (or, for that matter, the gnome theme if you are using Gnome/Unity), but the special theme that KDE uses to decorate gtk programs when you are running them from KDE. gtk2-engines-oxygen corresponds to the gtk theme 'oxygen-gtk', which is a special theme used to make the gtk programs look the same as KDE programs. You can set this them in KDE from System Settings > Application Appearance > GTK + Appearance > Widget Style -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk2-engines-oxygen in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/836909 Title: Banshee crashes while loading To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk2-engines-oxygen/+bug/836909/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
