Public bug reported:

This is a fresh install of a 11.10 (upgrade from 11.04)

I installed IPE from the repos. I can run it as sudo ipe

But when I run it as a normal user it gives segmentation fault. IPE was
working perfectly on 11.04. Tried different versions of IPE including
compile from sources available from Sourceforge. Same problem -- seg
fault.
