I've never experienced this before, but when I upgraded to ubuntu 11.10
64 bit I got the same problem. The hard drive is filled up with
.xsession-errors which makes it difficult to use the machine for
anything useful after a few hours! Hope someone can fix this soon..

the errors I get in the xsession-errors file is (nautilus:6232): GLib-
GObject-CRITICAL **: g_value_get_object: assertion `G_VALUE_HOLDS_OBJECT
(value)' failed
