Good morning! While the original bug has been solved for me, I have discovered a side effect of this patch: The bootsplash won't go back into graphical when shutting down Ubuntu. I wasn't aware this until this morning after I had reboot. Now I will try reinstalling it, but I guess it's still somehow related to this problem.
