HP Envy 17' 3D 2090nr Same issue for me. Suspend seems to work after I apply method from http://thecodecentral.com/2011/01/18/fix-ubuntu-10-10-suspendhibernate- not-working-bug. But when I resume, I get a black screen. However, I find out that the system seems functional, except the display. At least, I can reboot the system by REISUB sequence. And when I Ctrl+Alt+F1, and then "find" some file, the hard drive is working. And I can touch a file under my directory, that I can see after I reboot.
