Thanks tekstr1der. I think I'll leave my files unencrypted until this is fixed. Thanks for confirming that this is really causing corruption and isn't just an issue with zero length files.
This bug needs to be given some attention, and marked as being important, since it's causing file corruption, and is in a package that is installed by default. I tried finding the mailing list for the upstream project, but it seems to be dead. https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/ecryptfs-users tells me "No such list *ecryptfs-users*" and http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file-systems.ecryptfs gives me errors too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/870326 Title: ecryptfs_writepage: Error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ecryptfs/+bug/870326/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
