Hi,

sorry for being a bit off-topic but maybe this helps others:

after searching for a solution for some hours, I finally found out how
to make the email being sent again. The problem was that the Akonadi
Mail Dispatcher Agent (MDA) was turned offline. This cannot be changed
with standard KDE settings. One needs help of a program called
"akonadiconsole", which is in a package "akonadiconsole". It was hard to
track it down, since the error message is very cryptic and can be found
only in a file called ~/.xsession-errors . There were some lines which
said

"MailTransport::SendQueuedAction::itemAccepted: Item doesn't have
DispatchModeAttribute"

Here is how to fix the problem: First install akonadiconsole

sudo apt-get install akonadiconsole

Then call the program in a shell

akonadiconsole

In the "Agents" tab, look at the status of the mail dispatcher agent. If
it is offline, right-click on it and choose "Toogle Online/Offline" from
the menu.

Hope this helps!
