I have experienced what I believe to be this same bug. The problem is that the password/connection does not appear to save correctly. I'd type in the password, NM would try to connect, fail, ask for the password again. (Repeat until bored.) Then, looking in Network Manager's list of connections, I would see my network listed multiple times but when I looked at properties of each connection instead of the SSID being "ssid-of-my-network" it was simply "-".
