** Description changed: Hardware: Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop circa ~2006. I don't know what hardware specifics are necessary, but if you have questions please ask. If I do not use my laptop for a period of time the computer goes to sleep and locks my screen. When I go to log back in from the screen lock, the brightness has been reset to the minimum setting, so I always have to go and reset it. This happens even when the laptop is plugged into power. Please fix. Thanks. + --- + AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24. + ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu3 + Architecture: i386 + ArecordDevices: + **** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices **** + card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: STAC92xx Analog [STAC92xx Analog] + Subdevices: 1/1 + Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USER PID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: ertai87 1416 F.... pulseaudio + CRDA: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory + Card0.Amixer.info: + Card hw:0 'Intel'/'HDA Intel at 0xdfebc000 irq 42' + Mixer name : 'SigmaTel STAC9200' + Components : 'HDA:83847690,102801bd,00102201 HDA:14f12bfa,14f100c3,00090000' + Controls : 11 + Simple ctrls : 6 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 + HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=ba017539-62d6-4e04-bcf3-0e2089fd5a09 + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release i386 (20110427.1) + MachineType: Dell Inc.
