Thanks for the comments, most of the time an upgrade isn't recommended and a fresh install is better, if you get the chance I do recommend a fresh install as it tends to fix most upgrade issues.
If you're looking for stability I would suggest it's best sticking to the stable release aka LTS releases. With regards to this bug report you haven't actually reported any information at all, so I have no idea if you have a problem your graphics card, or compiz or even the kernel. The other thing is that the people who are in control of ubuntu aren't going to see what you've written here, just little old me "ikt the bug triage guy", for the best result I'd make a post here: http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=103 thanks. - ikt ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/875291 Title: Botched upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/875291/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
