Thank you for the info on how to install the test kernel. I'm still new to Linux and am just learning the ropes.
I've installed the test kernel. It appears to have solved the USB issue. However, I've lost my wireless internet access. The additional driver installer is unable to install the proprietary driver for my Broadcom wireless card. I'm attaching the /var/log/jockey.log file. When I installed the test kernel, it did say there was an error regarding kernel headers. Would you please let me know how to get my wireless card working again? ** Attachment added: "jockey.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/874530/+attachment/2557213/+files/jockey.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/874530 Title: When a removable USB drive is safely removed without choosing to unmount first, it causes a full-blown kernel panic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/874530/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
