The new Unity switcher in Oneiric solves this one very nicely. I haven't experienced the bug since this new version of Gnome was introduced into the Oneric 2-3 weeks ago (when it was still in beta). This is the unity variant where that revolves around a dashboard showing the all of the running windows, the "favorites", a way to explore applications, a system-wide search-bar, and a list virtual desktops along the right side. The dashboard can be accessed by pushing the meta key, moving the mouse to the upper left-hand corner, or clicking on the word "Activities".
I'm a big fan of the new GUI. Instead of being an 90%-as-good copy of the Mac OS X Dock, this is something new that is one of the few modern GUIs that seems intuitive for both both novice and experienced users, and works in harmony with all of the traditional X-Windows applications. In other words, this bug no longer affects me. I reported it earlier in the Oneiric beta. I'm guessing that everyone still seeing this is running Natty? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/839548 Title: Dual monitor Unity workspace switcher bug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/839548/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
