Let's try a better description, i use ubuntu feisty, kernel 2.6.20-15-generic.
If I suspend my laptop (toshiba M400, centrino duo) while on AC power, and then disconnect AC, on resume the "on AC" icon is shown in gnome- power-manager. By investigating the problem deeper, I found the following :~$ cat /proc/acpi/ac_adapter/ADP1/state state: on-line :~$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: charging present rate: 17895 mW remaining capacity: 34495 mWh present voltage: 11260 mV removing the "ac" module and inserting it again shows in dmesg: [21497.780000] ACPI: AC Adapter [ADP1] (on-line) Finally, if I suspend to ram, then everything goes in the right state, and the "on battery power" icon is shown in gnome-power-manager after a short delay. This is also obtained by plugging and unplugging the AC adaptor. -- If AC power is disconnected while suspended, on resume the "on AC" icon is shown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/51269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
