I tried the Ubuntu 11.10 Alternate x64 and the whole computer freezes
during the part where it says

System clocks are generally set to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The
operating system uses your time zone to convert system into local
time.... Is the system clock set to UTC?

It did however work after clicking Install Ubuntu as opposed to the
graphical version which when pressing Install Ubuntu, nothing would
appear and then restart.

Even holding the power button doesn't work. I had to take out the
battery from my netbook to actually shut it down. I downloaded the
Alternate version x64 on Oct 17th.
