Thanks Ernest, the location of some libraries have changed in 11.10 due to the change to the "multiarch" system, coming from Debian. This may have caused the broken dependency that you observed and that is solved as you did by unisntalling the broken package and reinstalling it back once the upgrade completes.
I will mark this particular report as invalid as you were able to complete the upgrade, but please feel free to remark it as "new" if you think it is worth it to keep it open. As for the the problem with wine, if you want to get attention on this problem please open a specific bug report. ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/874625 Title: Update from 11.04 to 11.10 fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/874625/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
