Public bug reported: I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 and it seems the Expo plugin no longer plays nicely when Unity is not enabled. I have Expo on BottomLeft edge, it appears as expected, but when I select a workspace, the workspace does not restore properly, it seems to be oddly positioned at an offset, thought widgets 'move' to their correct position when you move over them. See the attached screenshot.
The offset seems suspicious as it seems to leave precisely enough room for the unity top and left bar. It seems as if Expo was modified to work with Unity, and in the process it no longer works fine without unity. I'm running Ubuntu 11.10 on a Macbook Pro 8,3, AMD Radeon HD 6470M, Open Source Gallium driver, compiz 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu3 s0_active_plugins = core;bailer;detection;composite;opengl;decor;compiztoolbox;place;grid;move;vpswitch;regex;imgpng;animation;workarounds;session;resize;gnomecompat;mousepoll;shift;snap;expo;ezoom;wall;staticswitcher;fade;scale; ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: expo unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/875321 Title: Expo does not work well without Unity (regression in 11.10) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/875321/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
