Public bug reported:

OS: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric stable
Application: unity 4.22.0-0ubuntu3

Though, fortunately, System Settings has been placed on the Launcher by
default in Oneiric, the myriad Settings that constitute it remain as
independent applications in the Dash. Not only is this confusing (what
is System Settings, then?), but it also makes the Applications lens very
crowded. Instead, all of these should be hidden, leaving only System
Settings (search strings such as "resolution", "monitors", etc should
all point to System Settings as well).

** Affects: unity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Description changed:
