Greetings:
Many thanks for looking at this problem! Since it is about 2 months ago
I reported this bug, I have re-installed 10.04 (for other reasons).

When I installed 10.04 for the first time on the T410s (in May 2010),
suspend and hibernate worked fine. With the progressive installation of
updates, hibernate suddenly did not work anymore giving the error
message that not enough swap is available. Using the Gnome system
monitor, memory usage was typically ~800MiB, and the swap space is 954
MiB. After a failed hibernation, 3 of the 4 threads were running at
maximum frequency and, using "cpufreq-selector", I was unable to put
them back to the "ondemand" state. This problem is still present after
the re-installation of 10.04 (after 11.04). Possibly, the increase of
the swap will fix the hibernation-failure, but the loss of control of
the CPU state might remain. To help you debugging, I executed the
suggested commands before hibernation and after the failed hibernation
(it was not necessary to reboot; there is no crash, but 3 threads are at
maximum frequency; resetting with e. g. "sudo cpufreq-selector -c2 -g
ondemand failed").

The requested files are uploaded, except /var/log/kern.log.0which was
not present.

To get the CPU state to "ondemand", I shall reboote now; if a kern.log.0
file is created, I'll updoad it.

Please let me know, if you need further information.

Many thanks!
Best regards,
François P. Rotzinger
