Public bug reported: On my HP ze4315 I frequently (not always, maybe 90% of boots) have the computer crash out to a default shutdown (always incomplete) after reporting that the system has exceeded a certain critical temperature. This critical temperature is always different, and varies between 36C and 42C, so perfectly normal operating temperatures. When it crashes out, the fan doesn't turn on at any point. y system is dual boot ubuntu/XP and the XP works fine, cooling with the fan when needed and without when not. I have never had temperature related issues with this machine, although it can get warm at times. This problem began after I automatically updated the software using the included update manager, until then I had had no such problems. This all has occurred in the past week.
