This particular crash is harmless, although it's a symptom of something else going wrong. The code which invokes check_gl_texture_size fully expects it to crash sometimes, and handles it. Once apport is turned off the only way you'll notice this crash is a SIGSEGV message in dmesg.
Of course, until the underlying problem which triggers this (which would be associated with bug 863054) is fixed, you'll still have the other symptoms caused by that. ** Changed in: gnome-desktop3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/862161 Title: check_gl_texture_size crashed with SIGSEGV in __libc_start_main() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-desktop3/+bug/862161/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
