My initial attempt to install Feisty was a direct install from a burned Feisty CD (I tried both the DESKTOP & the ALTERNATE versions and got the same behavior that I described in the bug report).
Next I burned a DESKTOP version of Edgy, installed it and then AFTER applying all of the available updates for the Edgy installation and rebooting, I then went back into Update Manager and chose the upgrade button for going from Edgy to the 7.04 Feisty release. I saw NO instructions on the Update Manager diagonal for doing otherwise. Thanks.
