Public bug reported: I installed ubuntu 10.10 from CD and my wireless network worked. Hotkeys for turning wireless on/off was not working but wireless LED indicated that WIFI was on all the time. Ubuntu asked me to upgrade to 11.04, and I did. In 11.04 my wireless did not work, still an wlan0 interface was present and "ath5k" driver loaded. Trying to activate wireless networking in the networkmanager did not activate wifi.
I blacklisted "acer-wmi" in "/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf" and wifi works again. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 1720 amilo wifi wireless -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/864456 Title: Amilo Li 1720 wireless network broken after upgrade to Natty 11.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/864456/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
