Well I was not able to run this from the upgraded system ( 11.10 Beta 2
booted with 'nomodeset') because firefox is crashing continuously
(trhied chromium browser also, but this is crashing too).
Anyway I've managed to boot the system from USB (I'm on the USB live
version, not installed) and managed to run that command.
Some stuff I've noticed, the upgraded system (upgraded from natty to
11.10 beta2 ) - versus - the live USB version 11.10 beta 2 :
- on both - the X is not starting without using 'nomodeset' - I believe there
is something wrong with the video Intel driver i915 ?
- on the upgraded system the mouse/touchpad , wireless, sound , firefox and
probably others are not working
- but on the USB live these are working
