Q: One may say, why not F10? A: It's not so easy to reach. Alt-f, Alt-e (this opened Edit menu), Alt-v (for View menu. So I don't only mean Alt-f. I mean this kind of shortcuts), etc is much easier to reach (and then shortcuts in the opened menu, e.g., 's' is often for 'Save...', and 'a' for 'Save as...'). They are very convenient for blind typing.
