Okay, I updated to Feisty and totally didn't notice until now that I replaced some config files in the upgrade, and I've been using the bcm43xx. The only difference is the rate. 2.6.20-15-generic lsmod doesn't have ndiswrapper running, and it's working fine with the bcm43xx.
