Hello I've got the same problem on 11.04. It always freezed gdm when scrolling in Chrome, so I had to restart gdm (ctrl+alt+backspace worked). Today it occurred also when scrolling inside Libreoffice. Maybe it's not related to chrome? Please tell me if you need any log or further information on my system.
