This bug definitely _does_ still affect other releases, particularly the LTS, which is more suitable for computers of this vintage. Oneiric B2 in particular is unusable for me because of other bugs.
I'm not familiar with your internal work flows, but do you really want me to file new bug reports for Lucid and Maveric, and probably Natty?
