A use case: Bob, having just installed Kubuntu from CD, wants to see what games are available for Linux. He runs "Add / Remove Programs" and sees a list of hundreds of games.
Desired Behaviour: Bob selects a bunch of them (say, twenty or so), clicks "Inspect Changes" and then installs them. He has lots of fun and recommends Linux to everybody he meets. World peace ensues. Actual Behaviour: Bob selects a bunch of them (say, twenty or so), but because he has to wait 5-10 seconds between *every* *single* *mouse* *click*, he gives up and tells everybody he knows "Linux is really slow". People who were on the verge of trying Ubuntu for themselves decide not to in the face of such a negative review. Okay, so that might be a little exaggerated, but this is a real usability issue. -- adept is _really_ slow. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/49635 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
