Network connection is back up for me but:
apt-get install --reinstall libnss3

gives me:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 reinstalled, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 0 B/1,265 kB of archives.
After this operation, 0 B of additional disk space will be used.
E: Internal Error, No file name for libnss3


and I still have no networkmanager applet...
