Bug still exists on Natty. A revised script for NetworkManager seems to
fix it for me:
/etc/network/if-up.d/autofs
#!/bin/sh
# Local interface changes are irrelevant to this
if [ "$IFACE" = lo ]; then
exit 0
fi
reload autofs
