Thanks for the tip, Dave. I've seen the single-request workaround before, it did not seem to help. Maybe adding the string before the dns list works better??? In my case the problem was with a few browsers at time being very sluggish, namely, firefox, chromium and epiphany for some sites. All other programs using dns were fast as always, even text-based browsers.
