I have written this for Dapper and Edgy already, but the problem persists in Feisty too:
My case (Toshiba A105-S2716): 1. acpi=force does not do anything 2. When I first remove (rmmod) the module snd-hda-intel and then try to shutdown everything goes the way it should be. Conclusion: At least in my case, the culprit is the running * snd-hda-intel * module. It could be worth looking into. I wonder if my case is a kernel bug or a bug of this module. Perhaps a new bug report has to be created as they are not identical. -- Power down after shutdown does not work... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/43961 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
