Public bug reported: Ubuntu 11.04
The network connection under Ubuntu is slow and keeps dropping after a few packages have been sent. After a few seconds the connection first becomes slow and then it starts dropping packets until connecting or even pinging internet/local machines isn't possible anymore. This lasts for a few minutes or until after a reboot, then it starts all over again. It only affects one PC, not the other Linux PC on the same network. Also happens when booting different live distributions. BIOS reset didn't help. Router reset doesn't help. The network card is a "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller" onboard card, mainboard is a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3. This all started happening right after installing Windows 7 on another hard disk on the same system, which works perfectly. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/847428 Title: Network connection keeps dropping To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/847428/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
