I get the same problem when removing a USB drive from /dev/sdb. The drive is a 250 GB hard disc formatted with the ext4 file system. After getting this message, I just unplug it. I first unplug the USB cable and then hit the 'off switch' on the drive. Other than the annoying dialogue, the error does not seem to give any problem.
