The sevenmachines PPA didn't work for me. Apt-get couldn't find the package, maybe because I'm 32 bit? Anyway, I got Flash 11 beta working by downloading the 32-bit tar.gz from here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11.html . Then I extracted the tar (using sudo) in my home directory. Then I moved libflashplayer.so (using sudo) to /usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins. It works! For the moment, I'd rather have 11 beta than 10 stable, but I have to wonder if the oneiric package is just simply sticking libflashplayer.so in the wrong place.
