Public bug reported: 1) Ubuntu Natty 11.04
2) Version: 0.2.28.3 3) If user try to use a 1Gb USB drive to create and Ubuntu live USB, the part of the application where you can set the persistent options are simply in gray and you cannot use them. I was expecting to read "You need at least a 2Gb USB drive to be able to use this feature". 4) The application simply disable this feature and the user cannot understand why it's not enabled (I wasted 1 hour googling and doing some tests, then I tried with another USB drive of 8Gb and discovered that the minimum size of the persistent file is 1Gb. In the past it was 128Mb allowing the use of 1Gb USB drives for persistence needs). ** Affects: usb-creator (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/841926 Title: Startup Disk Creator should tell user he needs 2Gb USB to make it persistent and not just disable the persistent section To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/usb-creator/+bug/841926/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
